New, Refurbished, or Used?
Buy New [P+ series]:
The technology in the P+ series of backs is the cutting edge of quality in digital imaging. Compared to the P series, the P+ series offers nearly unlimited buffer depth, brighter and higher resolution LCDs, and an increased ISO range, including cleaner files at every ISO. For the demanding photographer, the P+ series offers the highest quality digital imaging on the market.
Buy Refurbished [P series]:
The P series of Phase One backs are now shipping as refurbished units. This means the back was previously owned, and has returned to the factory to be disassembled, inspected, and reassembled. Refurbished units have the same warranty options that “new” backs offer, but are less expensive than the P+ line. The P series are an excellent option for photographers who do not need the increased buffer, brighter LCD, and increased ISO range of the P+ series backs.
Availability and expected delivery time of refurbished backs varies by the model and mount, and is constantly changing. Give us a call to check the availability of the refurbished back you are interested in.
Buy Used/Demo [H, P, and P+ series]:
Used backs also offer the greatest variety of pricing and capabilities, are are purchased by the greatest variety of clients. The price of a used back will vary based on its technology, physical condition, shot count, and the duration of the remaining warranty. Because there are no moving parts in a digital back, they do not wear down in the same way as a 35mm SLR does, and often last for more than half a million shots. We test all used backs to ensure they are in good working order. These backs come from a variety of sources, including trade-ins from a photographer upgrading or changing digital backs, and units used by Capture Integration for demonstration purposes.
Older used backs at entry-level prices are often sought out by product, still-life, architectural, and landscape photographers, for whom there is less need for speed and portability. Photographers willing to shoot tethered to a computer, and accept slower capture rates and limited ISO ranges can find older used digital backs which can produce enormous, extremely clean images with stunning color, at a very affordable price.
More recent used backs can offer current technology at a discount. P series and P+ series backs are often traded in when a customer decides to change from one Phase One back to another (for more speed or more resolution). Professionals and companies on a budget can find cutting-edge used backs, often with warranties and low-shot counts for a substantial discount.

On Which Cameras Can I Use a Phase One Back?
Phase One is dedicated to providing open platform digital backs. Although there are several platforms/cameras which are more commonly used with a Phase One digital back, there are solutions available for a very wide variety of large and medium format camera systems.
The Five Phase One Mounts
| Phase One Mount | Medium Format Compatibility |
|---|---|
| Phase One / Mamiya 645 AFD Mount | Phase One 645AF, Mamiya 645 AFD, 645 AFDII and RZ Pro IID |
| Contax 645 Mount | Contax 645 |
| Hasselblad H Mount | Hasselblad H1, H2 |
| Hasselblad V Mount | All Hasselblad V Series, including 500 EL/M and 500 C/M and Mamiya RZ |
| Rollei Mount | Rollei 6008AF |
Large Format Compatibility
Any of these mounts can be used with a large variety of 4×5, 6×9 and specialty large format cameras. These include but are not limited to Cambo, Sinar, Linhof, Horeseman, Arca Swiss, and Toyo, and Fuji.
Of particular interest are the new breed of digital large format cameras such as the Cambo Wide DS, and Horseman SWD. These systems are made specifically for use with digital backs instead of film. These cameras are being snatched up for landscape, architectural, and interior photography because of their incredible wide-angle lens quality.
Can I Lease a Digital Back?
We can provide a 3, 4, or 5 year lease, drastically lowering the entry cost to high-end equipment. We can arrange either an Equipment Finance Agreement (EFA) or traditional lease. In both cases, you fully own the equipment at the end of the lease. With an EFA, the full purchase price can be written off as an expense the first year. With a traditional lease, the monthly payments are available as a write-off for the duration of the lease.

Trade-in?
Of course! One of the greatest parts of medium format digital ownership is the equipment holds its value longer than its 35mm brethren. Capture Integration welcomes all digital cameras and backs as trade-ins. Call us for an estimate of the value of your trade-in.
