Eizo Color Calibrated Monitors

A monitor purpose-built for perfectly.

Apple monitors are great, but they are built for consumers and for general purpose applications. If you do retouching or have a color-critical workflow you should seriously considering upgrading to an Eizo monitor. These monitors are purpose built for photography. They aren’t super bright, and they don’t excel at playing your kid’s DVDs. They are the best monitor in the world for viewing and editing photos in a color controlled environment.

  • Superior calibration accuracy
  • Increased calibration stability
  • Better rendition of gradations (no banding)
  • 5-Year warranty which guarantees accurate color

For more information check out our Guide to Digital: Monitors.

Multi-Pop / Multi-Exposure adapter

Miss using multiple strobe pops in one exposure?

Digital photography provides many excellent solutions to photographic challenges. However, coming from 4×5 film you may miss one previously film-only technique: multiple strobe pops during one digital exposure. Our valued customer, Jeffrey Totaro, developed a unique switch-box that brings the multiple pop method to Phase One digital backs.

After plugging the unit directly into the digital back you can start a multi-pop exposure by first pushing the Wakeup button and then toggling “Capture” to “Start”. Then you will can trigger the flash and shutter as many times as you would like. To finish the exposure simply toggle “Capture” to Stop.

The device is available for purchase from Capture Integration. The device can also be used for other long exposure and multiple-exposure techniques. Check out Jeff’s article for more information about how this device is helping him produce stunning interiors.

Normally: $229

Laptop Screen Shade

Tired of screen glare? Hard time shooting outside?

Shooting tethered is wonderful: you get a large high resolution screen, 100% previews and the flexibility of seeing your images come in already toned to your own style. However, screen glare can quickly turn a shooting session into a frustrating nightmare.

Instead of bringing a large dark cloth or squinting while holding the laptop at just the right angle, try this screen shade.
