Camera Mount

TTI’s exclusive mounting system is designed to provide exceptional support for any camera or scanner, maintaining optical center throughout the elevation range. A vital detail so often overlooked by others. TTI also provides camera mounts for most digital cameras, scanning backs, film cameras, medium and large formats. This includes Phase One digital backs and Phase One Scan backs in several configurations.

Column

A massive aluminum extrusion provides an extremely rigid column which cannot twist or sag. A built-in unique leveling system provides perpendicular adjustment to the work table. The column reference scale is printed in crisp, easy to read numbers in inches and centimeters for a quick visual check while positioning the camera.

Elevation Carriage

The moving carriage is driven by a heavy-duty motor and lead screw, the preferred method for precision travel. This provides smooth camera movement and automatic lock at any position.

Work Table

1-5/8” thick, fully covered with heavy duty laminate, provides a flat, durable surface for many years of care free use.

Base Frame

Heavy gauge steel tubing, welded to form an exceptional rigid base. This structural base is designed to minimize vibration from the ground surface. Adjustable feet provide the initial leveling of the workstation.

Transmissive Light Source

Unparalleled evenness of illumination and brilliance is the result of TTI’s meticulous engineering. The highly efficient cooling system is designed to protect any media from heat or UV which could cause damage and focus shift, during work session. A common occurrence with other light sources.

Lenses & Lens Mounts

TTI carefully selects the best Apo-Chromatic lenses to suit the application. Lenses mount on TTI quick change rotating lens boards.

Digital Elevation Counter

This digital readout monitors the camera elevation. It is precise and repeatable, allowing exact replications of previous settings, a valuable tool in a production environment.

Reflective Light Source

With most of the heat exiting from the rear reflector of the lamps, the TTI reflective lighting system provides brightness, evenness of illumination and a cool work surface. Reflective lighting available as stand alone.

Media Holding System

Book type, hinged glass holder with 2 registered pins and anti-Newton ring glass holds media flat. Precision fitted light masks can be oriented in portrait or landscape mode.

Flat Surface

The heavy steel top of the vacuum easel is flat, smooth and will not warp. There are no protuberances above the steel plate so materials which are larger than the easel can be conveniently and quickly posi- tioned. This vital detail is so often over- looked by others.

Vacuum Base Plate

Components which form the base are precisely fitted for extraordinary rigidity and stability. This robust design minimizes vibration for sharper images. To insure parallelism, fine adjustment capabilities are built-in. Antiskid feet keep the easel in place without damaging or marking any surface including glass.

Zoneless Surface

Unlike other vacuum easels, TTI Vacuum Easels provide “open face” coverage while maintaining tight vacuum. There are no limited, preset “zones” for vacuum. As an example, you can use any size media with easels up to 20” x 24”, down to and including the size of a business card.

Positioning Corners

Magnetic corners or strips can be pro- vided to assist in media positioning and alignment. These additional tools are valu- able in a high production environment where precise or repetitive positioning of prints is required.

Instant Vacuum

Powerful, even and quiet vacuum is available as soon as the unit is activated. Vacuum is evenly distributed radiating from the center outward. There is no spe- cial valving, time consuming masks or taping needed in order to secure the media firmly to the surface.

Powerful Pump

The vacuum pump has been engineered to be powerful, quiet and dependable. TTI’s proprietary design has been refined based on extensive field use and repre- sents today’s state-of-the-art design in vacuum easel pumps. Multiple pump con- figurations are available for large models or for applications in which very heavy media is used.

Vacuum Hose

The heavy duty vacuum hose quickly connects the vacuum pump to the easel. The hose is pliable, kink and abrasion resistant.

Foot Switch

Hands free operation of the vacuum easel is permitted with the use of a heavy duty footswitch. It is provided with a 6’ cord and plugs directly into the vacuum pump.
