What do CPS warranties offer?

Warranty plans offer free repair coverage for your product any time during the life of your warranty. This includes parts and labor for required repairs on your product. If CPS can’t fix it, they will replace it.

Will my coverage continue after my camera or lens is repaired?

Yes. Your coverage will typically continue until your contract expires. Your coverage will end, however, if your camera or lens is replaced or the total cost of the repairs meets the maximum liability (the original price you paid for your camera or lens).

Will I need to send my camera or lens in for repairs?

Yes, you will. If your camera or lens breaks, CPS will provide you with instructions on how to ship it to their repair facility. Once they receive it, they will complete repairs for your camera or lens.

What happens if CPS cannot repair my camera or lens?

If CPS cannot repair your camera or lens, they will provide you with a check for the current market value of it.

What DOES my warranty cover

Your plan covers 100% of the parts and labor necessary for repairs. It also covers all internal hardware failures, as long as it is not caused by accidental damage to the camera or lens.

What DOESNT my warranty cover

Water damage, intentional damage, drops, and lost or stolen cameras/lenses.

When does my coverage start on a pre-owned lens

For refurbished or pre-owned cameras or lenses, the contract begins on the date of purchase, with coverage starting 31 days later.

How do I file a claim for my camera or lens.

You can file a claim by signing into your CPS account on cpscentral.com and clicking file claim, or alternatively by giving CPS a call at 1 (800) 905-0443.

Can I transfer the warranty to a new user?

Yes, you can. Contact CPS by calling 1 (800) 905-0443, and their customer experience team will assist you in transferring your warranty to a new owner, for a small $25.00 transfer fee.
