Hot News: Cambo Actus G Adapter for Fuji GFX 100
Meet Cambo’s New AC-795
Following the official introduction of the Fujifilm GFX100 on May 23rd, 2019 Cambo is pleased to announce a dedicated interface for mounting and supporting this new flagship of the GFX line of products.
As a result of the different body design compared to the Fujifilm GFX50 series, the bayonet holder for the GFX100 will have a different shape than the existing holder AC-792, and includes an extra riser block for the front standard.
Cambo’s new AC-795, designed as an interchangeable bayonet holder kit, will be compatible with the current Actus-G series. It is placed in line with the existing mounts for the Fujifilm GFX50, Hasselblad X1D, Nikon-Z and AC-78E. However, due to the design changes of the Fujifilm GFX100 body, this needs to be positioned on a higher distance to allow enough clearance. This results in a 30mm riser block for the front standard. Also the Actar-60 will not reach infinity setting with this kit.
NOTE: Alternatively the Fujifilm GFX100 will fit the Actus-GFX unchanged, in portrait position only, but not in landscape position.

The CI Quick Take Summary
Some quick takeaways of this breaking news. First, the Fujifilm GFX 100 is a substantially larger body than any previous camera body that has been used with a Cambo Actus (Fuji GFX 50S, GFX 50R, Hasselblad X1D, etc.). While the Fujifilm GFX 100 can fit on and work with an existing Actus G, it is limited to vertical orientation. For compete compatibility – vertical and horizontal orientation – this requires a completely re-worked adapter that also creates clearance for the additional size of the GFX 100 (which also requires the additional riser).
As you can see from the above prototype image, this adapter has more depth to it than previous adapters, which means some lenses will not be able to achieve infinity focus due to the enhanced flange distance, the Actar 60 being one of them. We will be testing other lenses to see where that fine line is drawn. Nonetheless, this represents a very powerful package, combining the new Fujifilm GFX 100 camera with the Cambo Actus G.
