Meet Brad

“THE TECH MAN”

Brad started shooting with a SLR when he was twelve in the northern suburbs of Detroit and was doing in-camera-masked 4×5 composite images when he was seventeen. At that time he started to shoot commercially and assist architectural photographers, years before the viability of digital capture and personal computer based retouching, prepping him for the inevitable full transition to the digital workflow as a product and architectural photographer, digital asset manager of 120 Terabytes of images, retoucher and Adobe beta contributor for Photoshop and Lightroom. Completed a B.A. in Advertising from Michigan State while assisting, shooting and rebuilding car engines then 6/8th’s of the program at Portfolio Center in Atlanta, learning from the expertise of various established local photographers as part of his curriculum.

Passionate about educating his three children, inventing, problem-solving, collaborating, studying esoteric sciences, yoga and driving high-horsepower automobiles.  Loves swinging an axe to chop cords of wood for the fireplace.

Still actively shooting for regional architects and commercially for national & international brands both in and out of the studio.  Working with cameras daily regardless of who the client is keeps the skillset frosty.

“The task is not so much to see what no one has yet seen; but to think what nobody has yet thought, about which everybody sees.” – Erwin Shrödinger

Hobby: The often excessive inspection and dissolution of entrenched myths within our cultural zeitgeist.  Truth is a binary, the question is whether we know it, have discovered it, or if we’ve been fooled into believing something is what it isn’t.  (standard model of stars, dark matter/energy and proof of Big Bang all up for grabs right now)

Endemic within our society is not giving any new idea (or occulted aged idea) enough room to fully contemplate it, without outright rejecting the concept as nonsensical based on a pre-programmed cultural bias.

Less cerebrally: detailing automobiles, video games, yoga, meditation, Reiki practitioner

Food: Known for my Chili, Grilled Cheese, Dirty Rice, & Oatmeal.  Also known for my wife’s french custards, cheesecakes & carrot cake.
